Gorgeous Stockholm

My recent trip to Stockholm was actually my first proper solo adventure since moving to London last year. Somehow it's always happened that I've had a travel buddy for each destination I've wanted to visit, so booking this trip gave me a very anxious sense of excitement.

For one, I'd never stayed in a hostel by myself before and also when flying to & from Barcelona last year, I experienced some pretty full on anxiety, so I had my concerns about travelling solo this trip.

Looking back at it now, I really had nothing to worry about, and it seems silly to worry about such tiny things - but, anxiety will do that!

As I was sitting in my mildly-comfy £10 Ryanair seat to Vasteras, waiting for the plane to roll down the runway, I realised I was completely calm. My sense of anxiety has dissipated and left me with a calm sense of excitement. This little moment all on it's own, was one of the most memorable for me. A simple moment of reflection on, and appreciation of, the past year or so.

Below are my favourite images from walking around my first day in Stockholm, before, between and during two awesome walking tours.

Watching silhouettes scatter through the streets as the sun slowly descends.

Day two, and I've had about 5 hours sleep, woke up far too early and need to get up and about, so I went to check out the Vasa Museum, followed by a stroll around the Royal Djurgården island

Thanks for the good times, gorgeous weather and awesome people Stockholm.

See you again soon.
